ඉදින් ස්වල්පමාත්‍ර සුවයක් හැරීමෙන් මහත් වූ සුවය (යම් හෙයෙකින්) දක්නේ ද, එ හෙයින් මහත් වූ නිවන් සුව දක්නා (කැමැති වූ) නුවණැත්තේ ඒ මඳ වූ සුවය හරනේ ය.

If by giving up a lesser happiness, one may see a greater one, let the wise
man give up the lesser happiness in consideration of the greater happiness.
