Succeeding late Prof Bellanwila Wimalarathana Thero
Most Ven Dr. Ittapana Dhammalankara Mahanayake Thero was appointed as the new Chancellor of University of Sri Jayewardenepura on Friday by the His Excellency the President Maithripala Sirisena. The letter of appointment was handed to the Mahanayake Thero by the Presidential Secretary Mr. Austin Silva on Saturday.
Most Ven Dr. Ittapana Dhammalankara Thero is the Mahanayake thero of Kotte Chapter of Siyam Maha Nikaya.
