The first phase of the ‘Karuna Dhārā’ project, launched by the Foundation for Buddhist Brotherhood with a focus on humanity, was held on January 1st at the Pali and Sanskrit Cultural Exchange Center.

The first phase of the ‘Karuna Dhārā’ project, launched by the Foundation for Buddhist Brotherhood with a focus on humanity, was held on January 1st at the Pali and Sanskrit Cultural Exchange Center.

Its initial step was a protective chanting (seth pirith sajjhāyana) dedicated to wishing long life and auspicious blessings for His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama, praying for the enduring life of all Dharma emissaries in the world, and offering well-wishes for the New Year to all beings at home and around the globe. Ten Bhikkhus led the chanting, which took place in the ‘1000 Buddha Holy Chamber’ at the Pali and Sanskrit Cultural Exchange Center.
